Der Adler was the title of the illustrated propaganda magazine about the German Luftwaffe published in Berlin Scherl-Verlag, which was created with the help of the Reich Ministry of Aviation.
In addition to the Wehrmacht, Der Adler was one of the most widespread magazines of the German Wehrmacht.
The magazines contain pictures and articles about the work of the Luftwaffe, innovations, experience reports from missions, aircraft models, dogfights, Knight's Cross bearers, reports on friendly and warring armies, covering all elements of air force such as air defense, paratroopers etc.
Contents covered the campaigns on Poland, France and the Soviet Union, as well as the bombardment of England.
During the war, more and more articles about the air defense and ground operations of the paratroopers were published.
